Our community is fortunate to have many programs that provide soccer for children of all ages and skill levels. We know the options can be quite confusing, so please reach out if you have question about the best fit for your player!
LMFC is a non-profit that runs both recreational and competitive (travel) options for players in Larchmont, Rye Neck, Mamaroneck, and the surrounding communities . Our travel program has teams playing in multiple leagues based upon skill level.
Our recreational program is based out of Harbor Island, run by professional coaches, and is available for any children in Pre-K through 5th grade.
Larchmont Junior Soccer League runs a recreational soccer program based out of Flint Park for any children in K-12th grade attending school in Larchmont or Mamaroneck. LMFC works in conjunction with LJSL to provide coaches for the younger grades. For players in 6th-8th grade, LMFC and LJSL run their programs in conjunction with one another.
Foster Soccer is an privately owned organization run by Ben Foster, LMFC's Director of Coaching. Foster Soccer runs weekly clinics, school break options, and summer camps. Children can enroll in these programs as stand alone options, or to supplement other recreational and travel team programs.
Our recreational programs are open to any child interested in playing soccer, regardless of skill level, and registration is for one season. Younger players meet once weekly, while older players attend one practice during the week with one game over the weekend.
Our travel programs are geared towards children who have a higher committment and interest level in soccer. Players register for both the Fall and Spring season, and attend practices twice weekly, as well as weekend games.
We offer a U8 Pre-Travel Academy for players who are 7 years old- typically in 2nd grade. This program allows children to determine if they are interested in joining one of our travel teams when eligible.
No tryouts are necessary for our recreational programs.
Our travel teams hold tryouts each spring for the following fall season. All interested new players must register to tryout. Players currently in our U8 Pre-Travel Academy or on a travel team are evaluated over the course of their season and do not need to attend formal tryouts.
Visit the individual program pages for more information to register for tryouts.
LMFC practices and home games are located across multiple fields throughout Larchmont and Mamaroneck. You will recieve detailed field information upon program registration.
Our programs utilize the grass fields at Harbor Island and Hommocks, and turf fields at Mamaroneck High School and Alma Field in Flint Park.
We also have indoor space available for skills clinics and scrimmages at our facility on Waverly Avenue in Mamaroneck, and at Socceroof in New Rochelle.
Our travel players are also eligible for indoor winter leagues in Armonk and at Chelsea Piers in Stamford.
LMFC believes all interested and qualified players should have the opportunity to participate regardless of their financial position. We provide a variety of scholarship options for both or rec and travel programs.
Traditionally our scholarships are granted to students who recieve free or reduced lunch through the school district.
Once a player accepts a position on a team, there are no refunds of registration fees.
Foster Soccer offers soccer camps throughout the summer located at Flint Park in Larchmont and Flowers Park in New Rochelle.
